State of emergency in public health extended until 15 April

Chisinau, March 15 / MOLDPRES /- State of emergency in public health, declared by the Decision of the Extraordinary National Commission for Public Health No61 of 9 September 2021 was extended until 15 April inclusively on the entire territory of the Republic of Moldova. A decision to this effect was taken on 14 March by the Extraordinary National Commission on Public Health.
According to CNSEP, starting with March 16, the wearing of protective masks will be mandatory only in public transport, medical institutions, placement institutions, retail units, shopping centers and pharmacies.
Public health professionals continue to recommend that citizens wear masks in all enclosed public spaces, especially in common areas and areas with potential for congestion. At the same time, in order to protect themselves from SARS-CoV-2 infection, people are urged to follow the rules of respiratory hygiene and hand hygiene.
CNESP members also decided to exclude the obligation to present the COVID certificate when entering all enclosed spaces. Also, all private events, such as weddings, baptisms, can be organized without limiting the number of guests. Limitations on the number of customers in public catering establishments, theaters, cinemas, performance halls, sports / fitness centers or leisure areas are also disappearing. Large outdoor events, such as festivals, but also sports, will be able to take place without restrictions on the number of spectators.
