Chisinau, March 16 / MOLDPRES /- Prime Minister Natalia Gavrilița paid a visit to warehouse in Vatra, where humanitarian aid for Ukrainian refugees is being stored and sent through the government, to find out how to distribute existing stocks. This is the main warehouse of the Single Crisis Management Center and is located on the territory of Moldcoop's Moldcoopimex foreign trade cooperative, the government's communication and protocol department has reported.
The Prime Minister was informed about the processes of evidence and management of stocks accumulated between March 4 and 15 from donations from economic agents in our country, NGOs and international organizations. Recently, new batches arrived at the warehouse from Great Britain and Germany, which contain blankets, personal hygiene sets, bed linen, sleeping bags, pillows and other essentials. Foods such as sugar, oil or powdered milk are also delivered daily.
From here, food and non-food products are distributed to the 96 authorized placement centers and emergency shelters, according to their list of needs. The goods are issued on the basis of official requests from the district councils, town halls, placement centers, etc. The warehouse is equipped with the necessary technical equipment, and the registration of accounting goods is done through software, provided by the Center for Information Technology in Finance, in collaboration with the Electronic Government Agency.
"Absolutely all processes must be transparent, so that people know what products we have in the warehouse and how we distribute them," said Gavrilița.
The sorting of the products is ensured by the volunteers of the "Moldova for Peace" group, created under the Government. In talks with the volunteers, the Prime Minister mentioned that each contribution is a significant one in the crisis management process: “You are doing an extraordinary job and I want to thank you for your help and enthusiasm. We already have a mechanism in place and we are trying to take on as many tasks as possible, but it is a situation that requires the involvement of everyone: central and local authorities, citizens and donors. We have shown exemplary mobilization and together we will make the country famous for the way we manage this crisis ", said the Prime Minister.
