As many as 339 new cases of COVID-19 recorded in Moldova

Chisinau, 16 March /MOLDPRES/ - A number of 6,245 tests have been processed in Moldova in the last 24 hours and 339 new cases of infection with the new-type coronavirus were confirmed. 13 out of these cases are import ones. Thus, 508,917 COVID cases have been recorded in Moldova so far.

According to the Health Ministry (MS), 18 out of all infection cases are among medical employees (5 physicians, 10 medical assistants and 3 auxiliary staff employees).

As many as 426 people confirmed with COVID-19 are hospitalized in all, of whom 63 are in extremely serious condition and 15 patients are subjected to mechanical ventilation.

In the context, 2,664 persons are treated at home with light and moderate forms of coronavirus and 6,111 are under supervision at home.

Another 828 people have been treated. As many as 492,462 people were treated of COVID-19 in all.

At the same time, MS informs about the registration of another 11 deaths triggered by COVID-19 and 11,368 people have died of coronavirus in all.
