Almost 5,000 foreigners applied for asylum in Moldova

Chisinau, March 16 / MOLDPRES /- On 24 February - 16 March, the Office for Migration and Asylum received 4,748 asylum applications.
According to the Ministry of Internal Affairs, in the same period on the segment of the Republic of Moldova-Ukraine entered 309,723 Ukrainian citizens, of which 207,671 Ukrainians left and 100,832 remained.
In total, on the territory of our country there are 105,373 foreign nationals, of which 49,675 are minors (Ukrainian and other nationalities who entered the Moldovan-Ukrainian segment of the border).
