Regulation on job subsidies to be amended

Chisinau, March 16 / MOLDPRES /- The regulation on job subsidies will be amended. A decision in this regard was approved at today's Government meeting, the government's communication and protocol department has reported.

The changes are aimed at introducing a new spectrum of people, for whom the employer becomes liable to obtain the job creation subsidy. According to the Regulation on subsidizing jobs, the subjects of the subsidy are legal and natural persons who practice entrepreneurial activity, non-commercial organizations, persons who carry out professional activity, residents of the Republic of Moldova.

Thus, following the approved changes, the subsidy will also be made in the case of persons who obtain related salary payments:

- employment in the agricultural sector on the basis of CIM engaged in the activities provided for in groups 01.1-01.6 of the Classifier of Activities in the Economy of Moldova (CAEM);
- employment under special working conditions according to Annex no. 2 of the Law on the public social insurance system;
- resumption of part-time work until the expiration of the childcare leave until the age of 3;
- paid annual leave;
- study leave;
- paid additional leave;
- employment on the basis of CIM in the agricultural sector engaged in other activities than those in groups 01.1-01.6 of the CAEM.
At the same time, the amendments to the Regulation apply to persons who, for a period of at least 12 consecutive months preceding the month of employment, did not have a salary income and aim to adjust the conditions in the part of the subsidy benefit, ensuring the subsidy employees) who did not have income as a result of holding the status of: persons in elective office or appointed in the executive, legislative or judicial bodies; persons employed by the judiciary; persons employed in the courts and in the prosecution bodies; persons employed under the CIM, residents of the IT park, including those who resumed their part-time work until the expiration of the childcare leave until the age of 3; members of the board of directors; persons reinstated at work on the basis of a court decision or who are active in externally funded projects.

Amendments have also been made according to which the subsidy will be granted for salary payments by transfer to the employee's account, as well as if the salary payments for the first semester of 2021 have been made in cash.

At the same time, the deadline for submitting the Application for persons with disabilities employed in specialized enterprises for the first semester of 2021 is extended until April 30, 2022 inclusive.

Expenditures for job subsidies are made within the limits of the budget allocations approved annually in the state budget, and the amount of the subsidy is established according to the employee's category.

The amendments to the Regulation approved by Government Decision No49/2021 will enter into force on the date of publication in the Official Journal.
