Chisinau, 16 March /MOLDPRES/ - Inspectors of the National Food Safety Agency (ANSA) on 15 March participated in the conditional use of a non-conforming consignment of 2,800 kg of pine apple through conversion in biogas.
According to ANSA, the pine apple had a six-fold higher residuum of Fludioxonil pesticide than the admissible limits.
The Agency warns that the products with higher contents of pesticides’ residuum pose risks both to the health of the people and of animals.
In the context, ANSA comes up with the following recommendations: fresh fruits and vegetables should be bought only in authorized places and traders must have acts due to confirm the inoffensiveness of the vegetal products which they sell.
