Romania-Moldova programme for 2014-2020 might be renegotiated

Chisinau, 23 March /MOLDPRES/ - The term of implementation of the Joint Operational Programme Romania-Moldova 2014-2020 might be renegotiated. At a today’s meeting, the members of the parliament’s commission for foreign policy and European integration approved a positive draft which provides for this.
Thus, the term of implementation might be extended by 12 months, till 31 December 2025. The amendment is needed, given the consequences triggered by the Covid-19 pandemic.
The Joint Operational Programme Romania-Moldova 2014-2020 for the Cross-border Cooperation Programme was initiated following an agreement between Moldova’s government,, the European Union and the Ministry of regional Development and Public Administration of Romania. The agreement implies the providing of a grant worth 89.1 million euros for the financing of more activities, beneficiaries of which can be local and central public authorities, international and non-governmental organizations.
