Distribution of humanitarian assistance for refugees hosted in Moldova's families continues

Chisinau, 23 March /MOLDPRES/ - The Single Crisis Management Centre informs that, on 20-22 March 2022, it distributed food products and essential goods to about 2,800 refugees, the government’s communication and protocol department has reported.    

Thus, the humanitarian aid reached the following settlements:

Ungheni city hall – 350 refugees;

Straseni city hall – 280 refugees;

Ialoveni town mayoralty – 1,178 refugees;

Criuleni town mayoralty – 100 refugees;

Soroca city hall – 300 refugees;

Cahul city hall – 500 refugees;

Peresecina village mayoralty, Orhei district – 80 refugees.  

The goods and food products are meant for the refugees from Ukraine who found temporary home in Moldovans’ families. The mayoralties will distribute assistance according to the list of needs. The aid was released from the Moldova Film warehouse, where humanitarian assistance from Diaspora is collected, which is brought to Moldova without an address of delivery and without accompanying documents (from private people or associations).

Other consignments of humanitarian assistance from this warehouse have been earlier delivered to mayoralties from the districts of Drochia, Rascani, Causeni, Stefan-Voda and Anenii Noi.

Today, 23 March, other packages with food products and essential goods are planned to reach the settlements Donduseni and Ocnita.

Also, the Single Crisis Management Centre informs that, on 5-22 March, the centres of temporary placement for refugees from all over Moldova were supplied from the international humanitarian aid from the central warehouse of the Vatra town, Chisinau municipality. The centres received beds, pillows, mattresses, bed clothes, blankets, food and hygiene products, etc. Other assistance is planned to be delivered on the next period to the placement centres from Briceni, Donduseni, Rascani, Ocnita and Chisinau municipality.
