Foreign nationals to have easy access to health care, labor market

Chisinau, March 24 / MOLDPRES /- The legislature today adopted a package of laws aimed at ensuring the conditions of foreign citizens, similar to those of the citizens of the Republic of Moldova, regarding access to medical services and the labor market.

The document submitted by 59 deputies provides for the amendment of the Law on the size, manner and terms of payment of compulsory health insurance premiums, the Law on Asylum in the Republic of Moldova, the Law on the regime of foreigners in the Republic of Moldova, the Law on promoting employment employment and unemployment insurance, etc.

According to the document, foreign nationals, holders of the right of permanent residence in our country and beneficiaries of international protection, will be able to be included in the list of payers of compulsory health insurance premiums, which are insured individually.

The mentioned foreign nationals will also be able to benefit from unemployment benefits, provided that they have been active and have completed a contribution period of at least 12 months in the last 24 calendar months prior to registration.
