Chisinau, March 25 / MOLDPRES /- Tatiana Osipov, a businesswoman from Causeni, opened a temporary shelter for refugees right inside the place she has in the city. The woman has adapted some rooms that she rents to provide shelter for people fleeing the war in Ukraine. More than 50 women and children found shelter here. While visiting Causeni, Prime Minister Natalia Gavrilița visited the center opened by Tatiana Osipov and personally thanked her for involvement and civic spirit.
According to the Executive's Communication and Protocol Department, the women in the center spoke about the painful experience they went through but also about the extraordinary generosity shown by our compatriots who offered them shelter and protection. "We have a lot of attention and care - the ambulance doctors, the gentleman who makes the fire in the stove - all those who take care of us", confessed one of the refugees.
The Prime Minister discussed with the refugees from Ukraine about the accommodation conditions, about the employment possibilities, but also about the opportunities that the Government offers for the children's schooling or their enrollment in the kindergartens. "The government is making every effort to ensure that the citizens of Ukraine, who choose to take refuge in the Republic of Moldova, benefit from shelter, food and basic necessities. Our intention is to feel safe ", said Natalia Gavrilița.
At the same time, the Prime Minister spoke with the volunteer who opened the center about the existing legal possibilities so that the woman can recover the expenses she made to ensure the living conditions for the refugees. Tatiana Osipov mentioned that she was involved in assisting refugees from the very first days after the conflict broke out. The first refugees were housed in his house in Ștefan Vodă, and after the house became too small, he thought of opening accommodation in the spaces he rents in the center of Causeni.
The town halls of Causeni and Stefan Voda contributed to the arrangement of the space. Through donations distributed by the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection, the shelter is provided with the necessary. People staying here also enjoy free lunch, in accordance with the provisions of the Commission for Exceptional Situations. The shelter is equipped with a kitchen and space for children.
The representatives of the Government in the territory also have an active involvement in the management of the refugee crisis, which coordinates the process of transferring the refugees to other localities. In addition, the head of the territorial office of the State Chancellery in Causeni district, Sergiu Babin, is hosting a family of Ukrainians with eight children. "It simply came to our notice then. We hope there will be peace, children must not suffer, "he said.
