As many as 339 new cases of COVID-19 recorded in Moldova in last 24 hours

Chisinau, 26 March /MOLDPRES/ - A number of 3,930 tests have been processed in Moldova in the last 24 hours and 339 new cases of infection with the new-type coronavirus were confirmed. One out of the new cases is import. Thus, 512,386 COVID cases have been recorded in Moldova so far.

According to the Health Ministry (MS), 17 out of all infection cases are among medical employees (5 doctors, 8 medical assistants and 4 auxiliary staff employees).

As many as 404 people confirmed with COVID-19 are hospitalized in all, of whom 53 are in extremely serious condition and 8 patients are subjected to mechanical ventilation.

In the context, 1,539 persons are treated at home with light and moderate forms of coronavirus and 3,248 are under supervision at home.

Another 371 people have been treated. As many as 497,498 people were treated of COVID-19 in all.

At the same time, MS informs about the registration of six new deaths triggered by the new-type coronavirus and 11,415 people have died of COVID-19 in all.
