China provided humanitarian aid to Moldova

Chisinau, March 29 / MOLDPRES /- The People's Republic of China has provided the Republic of Moldova with a batch of humanitarian aid worth almost six million lei. The first aid transport arrived in Chisinau by air.
Minister of Labor and Social Protection Marcel Spătari and Chinese Ambassador Yan Wenbin were present at the handover ceremony.
Marcel Spatari thanked the Chinese side for the support provided in the process of managing the flow of refugees and mentioned that the aid received will be distributed to some Ukrainian refugee centers on the territory of the Republic of Moldova.
"In the last month, over 350 thousand refugees have crossed the border of the Republic of Moldova and more than 98 thousand people have remained on the territory of our country. More than half of them are minors, who need integration in schools and specialized services and need support ", said Spătari.
The Chinese diplomat reiterated that both he and his country were impressed by our country's aid to refugees and mentioned that other aid would soon reach Chisinau.
The batch of aid offered by China contains hygiene products, washing powder, towels, bedding worth over 5 million 700 thousand lei.
