Moldovan president visits southern Cantemir district

Chisinau, 29 March /MOLDPRES/ - President Maia Sandu today visited the settlements Cociulia, Porumbesti and Ciobalaccia of the southern Cantemir district, the presidential press service has reported.
The head of state talked with local residents about the actions undertaken by the authorities to attenuate the crises through which Moldova goes, as well as about how the people from the three settlements see the reforms initiated by the governance. In discussions, the Moldovan president also touched upon possibilities of financing projects in communities.
The head of state thanked the residents from the three communes of the Cantemir district for the warm reception, for the advice received and the encouraging words.
„I was happy to meet united and confident people, despite the crises we face. The people hope that we will be able to continue the changes for the better in the country and that their lives and the lives of their families will become calmer and better. Our power is in our unity – and I am sure that we will edify a country in which we can live everybody, with confidence in future,’’ Maia Sandu said in the end of her visit in the territory.
