Over 1,600 refugees applied for children's education

Chisinau, March 30 / MOLDPRES /- In the last month, 1,671 applications were submitted to the competent institutions for the enrollment in the educational process of children from refugee families of Ukraine, out of which 494 applications for kindergarten and 1,177 applications for enrollment in primary, secondary and high school education.
Minister of Education and Research Anatolie Topala said that the number of children from Ukraine enrolled in the education system of the Republic of Moldova is constantly growing and wanted to ensure that the institutions benefit from all the methodological, logistical and financial support necessary for their successful integration.
"The latest data reported by the competent structures show that on March 29, 1,671 applications were submitted for the enrollment in the educational process of children from refugee families in Ukraine, out of which 494 applications for enrollment in early education institutions and 1,177 applications for enrollment in studies in primary, secondary and high school education ", the official said.
Also, to reflect as accurately as possible the level of employment of refugee children, the Minister asked the leaders of the educational community in the territory for daily updated records, including new indicators, in particular, regarding the dynamics of employment. The representatives of the educational community in the territory were urged to make a list of needs, arising from the process of enrolling refugee children, both for the institution and for children, so that they can be met centrally, including with the support of development partners.
