Seven teams of firefighters intervened to extinguish field near Moldovan capital

Chisinau, 31 March /MOLDPRES/- Seven firefighters intervened yesterday to extinguish a field near Traian Boulevard and Grenoble Street in the capital.

According to IGSU data, the vegetation fire spread rapidly on the field near these streets. The 112 call was received at 13:10. Dense smoke flooded part of the streets, and the fire destroyed several hectares of dry vegetation.

Seven rescue teams and firefighters were called to the scene. IGSU employees determined that the fire had spread over a large area. No casualties were reported in the fire.

IGSU statistics show that in the last 24 hours, rescuers have intervened to extinguish 244 fires of dry vegetation.
