Moldovan, Latvian presidents plant trees

Chisinau, 7 April /MOLDPRES/ - President Maia Sandu, along with President of Latvia Egils Levits planted trees today, the presidential press service has reported.

The two heads of state planted an ash tree each at the Botanical Garden, as a token of friendship between Moldova and Latvia. ‘’This is a stately and strong tree, just as we want the Moldovan-Latvian relations to be in continuation. In a world full of challenges, the friendship, respect and good understanding are essential for the flourishing of the countries and nations,’’ President Maia Sandu said.

The planting of trees at the Botanical Garden by the heads of state who visit Moldova is a tradition established by President Maia Sandu.
