Moldovan PM has meeting with President of Poland

Chisinau, 8 April /MOLDPRES/ - Moldova’s delegation, led by Prime Minister Natalia Gavrilita, during an official visit to Warsaw, has met President of Poland Andrzej Duda at the Presidential Palace, the government’s communication and protocol department has reported.
The officials exchanged opinions on the security situation in the region, as well as on the economic consequences and the crises one after another, triggered by the war in Ukraine. The sides reaffirmed the common aspiration for the peaceful settlement of the military conflict and reestablishment of peace in the neighbour country.
President Duda said that he regretted the unfriendly circumstances emerged in the region and expressed Poland’s intension to boost the actions of cooperation with Moldova. ‘’I am firmly sure that the establishment of a strong friendship relation will help us overcome this extremely complicated situation. Both Moldova and Poland are countries neighbours of Ukraine, with deep economic and humanitarian relations. In this respect, our moral duty is to provide every needed support to the citizens of Ukraine,’’ the Polish president said.
Prime Minister Natalia Gavrilita thanked the Polish official for the significant financial and logistic contribution to the management of the refugees’ crisis, as well as for the loan worth 20 million euros provided to Moldova.
„Poland has constantly backed Moldova in its European integration and in these difficult times, it proves us unprecedented solidarity and friendship. I thank you for the warm reception; on these days, we have managed to establish valuable inter-governmental connections, which will be useful for us in the process of fostering our bilateral relation,’’ PM Natalia Gavrilita noted.
The officials discussed also the comprehensive process of reforms initiated by the government and the measures undertaken by both states, in order to attenuate the economic impact of the regional crisis.
