Exhibition dedicated to librarians opened in Chisinau

Chisinau, 11 April /MOLDPRES/ - An exhibition of documents and publications titled, The librarians of the National Library – intellectual treasure of the society, today was opened at the National Library of Moldova (BNRM), in the context of the Librarian’s Day, World Book and Copyright Day, on the occasion of the 190th anniversary of BNRM’s foundation.

Contacted by MOLDPRES, the director of the National Library of Moldova, Elena Pintilei, said the exhibition brought to the focus of wide public publications, books, bibliographies, articles about the contributions of the library’s staff to the development of the national library sector, involvements in projects with social impact during years, retro photo gallery from the National Library’s archive.

According to Pintilei, a book exhibition titled, Novis libris. New editions purchased through international exchange of publications, was opened here as well.

The two exhibitions will be opened till 10 May. The professional holiday, Librarian’s Day, is marked in Moldova annually on 23 April.
