Moldovan diplomacy head discusses with Georgian foreign affairs minister

Chisinau, 11 April /MOLDPRES/ - Deputy Prime Minister, Foreign Affairs and European Integration Minister Nicu Popescu has had a meeting with Foreign Affairs Minister of Georgia Ilia Darchiashvili, during his visit to Luxembourg, the Foreign Affairs and European Integration Ministry’s (MAEIE) press service reported.
Minister Nicu Popescu wished success in activity to the Georgian diplomacy head, recently appointed to office. He confirmed willingness for an active dialogue between the Chisinau and Tbilisi foreign affairs ministries, including through the holding of the political consultations in the near future.
„We discussed the consistent implementation of the European agenda by our countries, which gives us additional possibilities for strengthening and diversifying the Moldovan-Georgian dialogue in fields of mutual interest,’’ Deputy PM Nicu Popescu said.
A special subject of the discussions regarded the latest developments concerning the regional security. In the context, the two officials expressed concern about the large-scale military actions which are carried out in Ukraine in continuation and called to ceasing the hostilities as soon as possible.
