Moldovan, Romanian officials broach cooperation

Chisinau, 12 April /MOLDPRES/- On a visit to Luxembourg, Deputy Prime Minister, Foreign and European Integration Minister Nicu Popescu had a meeting with Foreign Minister of Romania Bogdan Aurescu, the MAEIE press service has reported.
The Moldovan official thanked his counterpart for Romania's support for Moldova in the EU integration process.
"Our strategic partnership for European integration with Romania is strengthened by community of history, Romanian language - official language of EU and culture," he said.
The sides also approached the Support Platform for Moldova, recently held in Berlin, an inititive launched by Romania, France and Germany. In this context, they agreed on subsequent steps due to be carried out as the next meeting of the working groups will be held in Bucharest.
"Romania is the most important supporter of European perspective of Moldova, including via support for implementing the agenda of reforms and country's modernization in the benefit of citizens," he said.
