Over 14,000 patients call ambulance in Moldova in last week

Chisinau, 12 April /MOLDPRES/ - Emergency medical assistance teams provided medical aid to 14,435 people in the last week.
According to data by the National Pre-Hospital Emergency Medical Assistance Centre (CNAMUP), medical assistance teams intervened for 3,336 patients with cardiovascular diseases, of whom 56 patients with acute coronary syndrome; followed by 2,252 people with respiratory emergencies and 2,071 people with neurological pathologies, of whom 258 patients with cerebral vascular accidents.
At the same time, ambulance was called for 1,268 people with diverse injuries, of whom 46 suffered in the wake of traffic accidents. Among the diseases of patients who benefited from emergency medical assistance, there are 50 people with intoxications, of whom 18 intoxications with medicines; five intoxications with alcohol and four ones with carbon monoxide.
In the same time interval, Ukrainian citizens who had taken refuge to Moldova made 440 calls at the Pre-Hospital Emergency Medical Assistance Service. Subsequently, following the providing of the pre-hospital medical aid, the teams of the Service carried out 222 patients to hospital.
