Compulsoriness of legal mediation might be excluded in Moldova

Chisinau, 13 April /MOLDPRES/ - The parliament’s juridical commission for appointments and immunities today approved the report for the second reading of the draft law which provides for the amendment of the Civil Procedure Code of Moldova.
Under the document, the amendments are aimed at removing the deficiencies dealing with the making more difficult and procrastination of suits, caused by the inefficiency of the way of preliminary settlement of litigations.
According to statistics data, on the period 2018-2021, only 2.6 per cent out of the overall number of 43,487 judicial mediation suits ended with the conclusion of a transaction.
