Moldovan head of state has phone conversation U.S. National Security Advisor to President

Chisinau, 13 April /MOLDPRES/ - President Maia Sandu on 12 April evening had a phone conversation with Jake Sullivan, United States National Security Advisor to President Joe Biden.
According to the presidential press service, the discussion was focused on the challenges of security in the region, consequences of the war in Ukraine and the Moldovan-American bilateral agenda.
The head of state appreciated the fact that the USA had always backed Moldova’s effort to strengthen the society and the economy and to edify a democratic state, according to the European model.
For his part, Jake Sullivan stressed the USA’s commitment to help Moldova diminish the consequences of the war in Ukraine and to cope with the refugees’ needs, as well as to carry out the agenda of reforms announced by the authorities.
In the context, the officials welcomed the opportunity to consolidate the bilateral cooperation within the USA-Moldova Strategic Dialogue, due in Washington next week.
