Chisinau, 13 April /MOLDPRES/ - Prime Minister Natalia Gavrilita, at a today’s cabinet meeting, demanded that the process of increase in salaries at the institutions with financial autonomy, which should have been made in April, be suspended, unless proper order and clarity is made in this respect. The PM referred to the cases of unjustified increases, as well as to the lack of transparency.
„We have approved decisions for the increase in the minimum salary, both in the public and in the private sectors. The minimum salary grew up to 3,500 lei in the private sector. There are certain regulations which connect the salaries from certain public institutions with financial autonomy to this minimum salary; yet, I think that we should revise the way it is calculated. There is a cabinet decision from 2002 and these grids existing increase this year, which is a difficult one, with multiple crises. In my opinion, that decision leads to the unjustified increase of the salary in certain public authorities,’’ Gavrilita said.
The prime minister addressed the boards of administration, governance of the units with financial autonomy to abstain from the increase in salaries and return to the subject, after a new government decision is approved to this end.
„I know that the highest margin is often applied. We get to salaries which are not transparent. We must overcome these crisis with solidarity and have a fair remuneration both for the public sector and for the private one,’’ the PM added.
