Bălti-Fălești-Sculeni national road over 90% rehabilitated

Chisinau, April 14 / MOLDPRES /- The national route R16 Bălți-Fălești-Sculeni is being rehabilitated almost entirely, as it was found during a meeting of the representatives of the State Road Administration (ASD) with Italian entrepreneur.

According to ASD, the rehabilitation works of the national road are divided into two lots and have an execution progress of over 93% on the first lot and about 87% on the second lot. During the meeting, the issues of bitumen-based product supply, the location of the aqueduct in Călugăr village and the maintenance of drainage works at km 27 with the mobilization of the contractor were discussed. Also, the problems of Bocșa locality from Fălești district regarding the location of the aqueduct were discussed.

The contractor is currently carrying out landscaping work on side roads, courtyard entrances and sidewalks. "Works are being carried out to install curbs and install road signs. The contractor's objective is to complete the repair works of this road by the end of June this year ", indicates ASD.

The rehabilitation works of the two lots, with a total length of about 55 km, have a value of over 50 million euros, money allocated from the loan offered to the government of the Republic of Moldova by the European Investment Bank.
