Candidates for position of Chief Prosecutor to need managerial experience

Chisinau, 14 April /MOLDPRES/- MPs today made amendments to the law on prosecutor's office and decided to set new eligibility criteria of candidates for the position of chief-prosecutor of specialized prosecutor's office.

The amendments aim to clarify some pre-selection and selection procedures for candidates for the post of specialized prosecutors, in order to ensure more transparent procedures.

The document also sees that the pre-selection phase of the candidates consists of two stages - the primary verification of the eligibility of the candidates who have expressed an interest in participating in the competition, as well as the interviewing and evaluation of the remaining candidates.

The law will enter into force after its publication in the Official Journal.
