French company Qair might carry out energy projects in Moldova

Chisinau, 14 April /MOLDPRES/ - Deputy Prime Minister, Foreign Affairs and European Integration Minister Nicu Popescu today had a meeting with the director general of the French Company Qair Group, Charles Lhermitte. This is a leading company in the sector of renewable energy with an experience of almost 30 years and an independent producer of energy, the projects of which regard the wind energy, photovoltaic energy, hydro-energy, production of ‘’green’’ hydrogen and generation of energy through the processing and burning of waste, the Foreign Affairs and European Integration Ministry’s (MAEIE) press service has reported.
„I reiterated that the economic diplomacy is one of the main goals on the agenda of our foreign policy for this year. Besides the promotion of native products and efforts to identify sales markets for them, we work also to attract investments in Moldova,’’ Deputy PM Nicu Popescu said.
At the same time, the Moldovan official welcomed the interest of the Qair company, which is currently present internationally in over 18 countries from Europe, South America, Africa and Asia, to consider the opportunity to carry out energy projects in Moldova. Popescu encouraged his interlocutor to examine opportunities offered by the country in this respect.
„I appreciate the company’s intention to involve local experts in the implementation of its projects; this can contribute to the creation of jobs, to the transfer of technologies and know-how,’’ Minister Nicu Popescu said.
