Culture Ministry, National Vine and Wine Office to cooperate in development, promotion of wine tourism

Chisinau, April 15 / MOLDPRES /- The Ministry of Culture and the National Vine and Wine Office (ONVV) have concluded a Memorandum of Understanding on cooperation in the development and promotion of wine tourism.
"We hope that this Memorandum will achieve its goal, estimated by increasing the competitiveness and quality of wine tourism products. I hope to have new business partnerships and a higher demand for the tourist products of the Republic of Moldova on the target markets; Moldova should be even more visible and appreciated as a tourist destination, including among the admirers of good wines ", Culture Minister Sergiu Prodan said.
"The institution I represent has extensive experience in supporting product development activities, marketing campaigns, organizing tours and attendance at international exhibitions, as well as skills to coordinate promotion programs in the tourism industry, which will facilitate the implementation of the proposed activities. in this Memorandum ", ONVV head Elizaveta Breahnă said.
The Memorandum mentions, among other things, that the parties will collaborate for the development of the wine tourism product through activities of research, documentation and capitalization of the wine cultural heritage, support of restoration activities, rehabilitation of tourist destinations. Thus, by mutual agreement it was agreed on the organization of the Moldovan Wine Route, as part of the ITER VITIS cultural-European route through the collaboration with the expert Emanuela Panke, president of ITER VITIS. Emanuela Panke will advise the competent structures in the elaboration of an action plan for the development of Wine Tourism for 2022-2023, with an agenda of common cultural and tourist events.
