Chisinau, 18 April /MOLDPRES/ - Moldova has been with Ukraine and the Ukrainian citizens ever since the first days of the war with support and humanitarian assistance; yet, as for the military sector, there are countries much better endowed. Prime Minister Natalia Gavrilita made statements to this effect at a news conference following the cabinet meeting today.
The PM’s statement came after she had been asked about more publications, including from the Ukrainian media, on Moldova’s refusal to sell six MIG aircrafts, about which people know that they are in worn-out state.
Natalia Gavrilita noted that Moldova had become host for more than 90,000 Ukrainian refugees. ‘’We provide humanitarian assistance and back people who face this crisis; yet, as far as the military assistance is concerned, there are better endowed and more resilient countries,’’ the prime minister stressed.
According to the official, the Public Property Agency can provide more details about the state of the concerned aircrafts and their deployment.
