Free movement in Transnistrian region to be simplified on Easter Holidays period

Chisinau, 22 April /MOLDPRES/ - A simplified regime of crossing of people and transport means will be provided on the period 22 April 4 May 2022. It is about private visits to settlements from the left bank of Dniester and Bender municipality. This information was confirmed also through the channel of correspondence between the political representatives in the process of negotiations on the Transnistrian settlement, the Reintegration Policies Bureau has reported.

Chisinau welcomed this initiative and made a call to Tiraspol to establish, for an indefinite period, a full free movement between both banks, with giving up any form of control and detaining of people and transport means, just as this takes place on the right bank of Dniester.

The Chisinau side stressed that the ensuring of the free movement for an indefinite term has been expected by the citizens for much time, will be positively described by all Moldova’s citizens and will contribute to the strengthening of the confidence building measures.
