Hydrologists warn about increase of Dniester river's level

Chisinau, 22 April /MOLDPRES/ - The State Hydrometeorological Service (SHS) has extended the hydrological warning of increase in the level of the Dniester river till 26 April.

According to SHS hydrologists, the forecast is in connection with the increase in the discharge of water in the Dnestrovsk reservoir (Dniester river) up to 550 cubic metres/second.

„The hydrological centre forecasts for 22-25 April an increase by 0.9-1.5 metres in the water’s level against the one from 22 April morning on the segment Soroca-Camenca. The water will flow within the limits of the minor river bed,’’ SHS said.

In the context, the authorities warn the local public administration, economic agents, in the subordination of which there are reservoirs, to pay attention to the state of dams, bridges and ways of water’s evacuation.
