Russia's Ambassador to Moldova summoned at Foreign Affairs and European Integration Ministry

Chisinau, 22 April /MOLDPRES/ - The Foreign Affairs and European Integration Ministry (MAEIE) has taken note of the statements by a representative of Russia’s Defence Ministry. In the context, MAEIE summoned Ambassador of Russia to Moldova Oleg Vasnetsov, to whom deep concern was expressed about the statements made by the Russian official, the MAEIE press service has reported.

MAEIE describes these statements as groundless and counter to Russia’s position of support of Moldova’s sovereignty and territorial integrity, within the internationally recognized borders.

At the same time, at the meeting, decision-makers reiterated the fact that Moldova, under its Constitution, was a neutral state and expressed request that this principle is observed by all international actors, including by Russia.
