Moldovan foreign minister has phone conversation with French counterpart

Chisinau, April 27 / MOLDPRES /- Deputy Prime Minister Nicu Popescu, Minister of Foreign Affairs and European Integration held a telephone conversation with Jean-Yves Le Drian, French Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs, the MAEIE press service has reported.

The officials discussed the incidents that have taken place in the last two days in the Transnistrian region, aimed at straining the security situation. In this context, Popescu expressed appreciation for France's strong support for sovereignty and territorial integrity of Moldova.

"I also spoke to the Minister about the challenges in the energy sector, including France's support for increasing resilience in this area," said Popescu.
