Firefighters urge people to avoid risky situations in cemeteries, churches on Easter of Departed

Chisinau, April 29 / MOLDPRES /- Employees of the General Inspectorate for Emergency Situations (IGSU) will ensure fire safety and risk prevention in churches and cemeteries in the country.

"On Easter of Departed, over six hundred IGSU rescuers and firefighters with two hundred technical units will be ready to intervene to extinguish the fires and eliminate the consequences of emergencies. At the same time, on the eve of the holidays, firefighters warn people about the need to comply with fire regulations ", the Inspectorate said.

Specialists urge people not to use open fire to sanitize households, land, and to dispose of household waste. Increased attention needs to be paid to clearing cemeteries. Citizens are advised not to light dry vegetation or stored garbage to avoid fires.

Firefighters advise people to handle candles and lighted candles carefully.

The Easter of Departed will be marked on May 1-2, but in some localities the event takes place on Saturday.
