Chisinau, 29 April /MOLDPRES/ - The stock company Energocom in May 2022 will conclude contracts on purchasing electric energy based on direct negotiations and the earlier initiated procurement procedure will be cancelled. A decision to this effect was taken at a today’s meeting of the Commission for Emergency Situations (CSE), chaired by Prime Minister Natalia Gavrilita, the government’s communication and protocol department has reported.
For the aforementioned period, the providers of the universal service, providers of last resort and the system operators will buy the energy needed for the end consumers based on bilateral contracts, signed with the stock company Energocom and if changes come about, additional agreements will be concluded during two working days.
If providers increase the prices for electric energy bought on the wholesale market, the National Energy Regulatory Agency (ANRE) will analyze the necessity to adjust the tariffs, based on an application.
ANRE will change the date of entrance into force of the Rules of the electric energy market, so that they are not enforced till 31 May this year. Till a decision to this end is adopted, the provisions of the Rules of the electric energy market will be enforced in testing regime, without involving financial responsibilities between the participants in the electric energy market.
