Structure of General Prosecutor's Office optimized

Chisinau, May 3. / MOLDPRES /- General Prosecutor's Office said today that it has completed the process of optimizing the structure of the Prosecutor's Office, which began on 25 January 2022.
According to the PG press service, the optimization was initiated following the issuance of the agreement by the Superior Council of Prosecutors. Thus, starting today, out of the 90 existing positions of prosecutors within the General Prosecutor's Office 21 were reduced, as follows: one position of Deputy Attorney General, 4 positions of department head, 4 positions of head of section, 12 positions of prosecutors in the section.
Out of the total number of optimized positions in the General Prosecutor's Office, 9 positions were reassigned to the Anticorruption Prosecutor's Office, 5 positions to the PCCOCS and 7 positions to the Office representing the accusation in the court of the Chisinau Prosecutor's Office.
At the same time, 7 positions of consultant to the prosecutor were reduced in the General Prosecutor's Office. These staff units were reallocated as follows: 4 positions to the Anti-Corruption Prosecutor's Office and 3 positions to the PCCOCS.
Therefore, as a result of the legal procedures performed, 69 prosecutors and 123 civil servants and technical staff, respectively, remained to act as prosecutors in the General Prosecutor's Office.
