Chisinau authorities provide education services to about 900 refugee children

Chisinau, May 3. / MOLDPRES /- In Chisinau, 6,809 children were enrolled in the first grade, representing 73 percent of the total existing in the 389 first grades that will open on September 1.
Acting head of the General Directorate of Education, Youth and Sports Andrei Pavaloi said at today's online meeting of the municipal services that so far, 6,809 children have been enrolled in the first grade. "We anticipated the opening on September 1 of 389 first classes that will have a staff of 10,316 pupils. So far, 6,809 pupils have been enrolled, which represents 73 percent of the expected enrollment ", he said.
At the same time, the official said that 54 kindergartens provide early education services for 247 refugee children from Ukraine. "608 refugee children from Ukraine are enrolled and attend school in secondary education institutions," the source said.
