Environment Agency urges people to participate in Green Wednesday campaign

Chisinau, May 4. / MOLDPRES /-Environment Agency employees launched Green Wednesday campaign. Thus, they want to inspire people by their own example and come to work opting for an alternative means of transport.

"We want to be heard and contribute to the creation of bicycle lanes and parking for them, the creation of electricity supply infrastructure for public institutions, less polluting public transport," a statement of the institution reads.

The Environment Agency reminds that every Wednesday, "each of us can contribute to protecting the environment and the health of the population, opting for an alternative means of transport."

The campaign is a voluntary initiative, which urges all citizens to give up traveling by car and choose less polluting means, such as scooters, walking or public transport.
