Pupils from Moldova invited to participate in international intellectual competition

Chisinau, 6 May /MOLDPRES/ - Pupils from Moldova have possibility to participate in the international competition, Owlypia – Local Moldova Virtual Round, dedicated to pupils from three age categories: 9-11 years, 12-14 years and 15-18 years. This year, the contest will be held online on 21-22 May.
The event’s main goal is young people’s intellectual challenging and the 2022 edition will be carried out with the subject, Innovation: what comes text?.
„Young intellectuals have chance to develop their abilities, stimulate the creativity, work in team, make new friends and implement their ideas, applying their knowledge in one of the five fields of the competition: social sciences, art and design, literature and culture, science and technology, economy and business,’’ reads a press release by the organizers.
During the event, pupils compete in four events: Knowledge, Extempore Speech, Oratory and Team Spirit. They are encouraged to overcome the academic limits, to discover new competences and the fittest ways of learning for them, according to the quoted source.
To take part in Owlypia – Local Moldova Virtual Round, pupils should: have a high level of English language knowledge (the official language of the event); to register at www.owlypia.org/register/local, by using the code MOL41, in order to benefit from a substantial price cut; to choose their favourite field; to form a team with three friends/fellows; to study resources along with the team; to accept the challenges during the competition.
Owlypia is a social organization set up in 2017, headquartered in London, United Kingdom. The events are organized in various countries from all over the world, in partnership with the host institution and have a principal subject each year.
The winners of the competition’s local round will go to the next stages: Owlypia Globals in Cambridge, UK (20-23 June 2022) or will participate in Owlypia Global Virtual online (18-20 June 2022).
