All radiological parameters - within norm - authorities say

Chisinau, May 20 / MOLDPRES /- The National Agency for the Regulation of Nuclear and Radiological Activities in Moldova (ANRANR) announced today that all radiological parameters in our country are within the limits of the fluctuation of natural background radiation.

The statement came from Ukrainian media, which appeared in the press this week, about "the biggest fire since the beginning of this year in the area of the Chernobyl station".

According to the information from the automatic monitoring systems of the gamma radiological fund type "MIRA", the values of the flow rate of the ambient dose range, for the period 19-20 May, on the territory of the Republic of Moldova were within the characteristic background limits and include 10.0 -13.5 microRoentgen / hour. Thus, based on the available information, no exceedances of the established values are found (25.0 microRoentgen / hour) ”, ANRANR said.
