Moldovan president meets President of French Senate in Paris

Chisinau, 20 May /MOLDPRES/ - President Maia Sandu has had a meeting with President of the Lower Chamber of the French parliament Gérard Larcher, during her visit to Paris.

According to the presidential press service, the subjects tackled were focused on the developments in our region and the effects of the war in Ukraine on Moldova.

The head of state thanked Gérard Larcher for the assistance provided by France for the management of the humanitarian crisis and for overcoming the consequences of the war, inflation and energy crisis, faced by Moldova.

„We also spoke about the Moldovan-French bilateral cooperation at the parliamentary level and asked for the support on behalf of France for Moldova’s European integration. We appreciate the constructive and dynamic dialogue we have with the French institutions and we want to develop it in continuation, in the interest of our citizens,’’ Maia Sandu said.
