Moldovan diplomacy head has meeting with Ukrainian deputy foreign affairs minister

Chisinau, 20 May /MOLDPRES/- Deputy Prime Minister, Foreign Affairs and European Integration Minister Nicu Popescu has had a meeting with Deputy Foreign Affairs minister of Ukraine, Emine Dzhaparova, in the context of participation in the Council of Europe’s ministerial meeting, the Foreign Affairs and European Integration Ministry’s (MAEIE) press service has reported.

The officials discussed the bilateral relation between the two countries and the current regional context. Minister Nicu Popescu reiterated the support for the territorial integrity, recognition of the borders and condemning of Russia’s aggression in Ukraine.

„At the same time, I used the opportunity of this meeting to discuss the process of joint promotion of our countries’ aspirations of accession to the European Union,’’ the Moldovan diplomacy head said.
