Moldovan government sent new batch of humanitarian aid to Ukraine

Chisinau, May 21 / MOLDPRES /- The second batch of humanitarian aid for Ukraine was sent today by the Government of the Republic of Moldova. Eight food and non-food trucks left Palanca for Odessa this morning, the government's communication and protocol department has reported.

The batch includes stocks provided by the following institutions: Ministry of Health (two trucks) - medicines, consumables and medical equipment, worth about 27.5 million lei; Ministry of Internal Affairs (four trucks) - kitchen sets and hygiene products for the whole family worth over 1.5 million lei; Ministry of Labor and Social Protection (two trucks) - tents, hygiene items, water and non-food products such as pasta, flour, rice, preserves and baby food. It has a value of about 280 thousand lei.

"We have mobilized once again to respond to the urgent needs of the people of Ukraine, and these supplies will certainly be helpful, including the health care system. We are with Ukraine and we continue to support the people of this country, both by delivering the necessary products and by ensuring normal conditions for refugees arriving in our country, "said Col. Adrian Efros, head of the Crisis Management Center.

The decision to send another batch of humanitarian aid to Ukraine was approved by the Committee on Emergencies. The first batch was delivered on April 2, being distributed according to the needs of Ukrainian villages and towns.
