Medical institutions to be provided with drinking water in heatwave

Chisinau, May 24 / MOLDPRES /- During heatwave, the medical institutions in the capital will be provided with drinking water, and in their yard heat tents will be installed. The provisions are included in an action plan set by the General Directorate of Medical and Social Assistance of Chisinau.

Department head Boris Gîlca said that the plan was made to ensure the proper functioning of medical institutions during the summer.

"We will ensure that both employees and patients are provided with drinking water. At the same time, medical workers working in the open air will benefit from additional breaks. Also, on days with extreme temperatures, heat tents will be set up in the courtyards of the institutions, where first aid and drinking water will be provided. The tents will be set by the General Inspectorate for Emergency Situations of the Ministry of Interior and we will make a request in this regard ", he said.

The expenses for the plan's implementation will be borne by the municipal medical institutions.
