Chisinau city hall to organize several events dedicated to Children's Day

Chisinau, May 24 / MOLDPRES /- Chisinau city hall will hold several events dedicated to International Children's Day, marked on June 1.

The head of the extracurricular education, youth and sports management department of the capital, Silvia Canațui, said that the activities will be organized in each sector of the city.

"These are drawing workshops, festive concerts with the participation of students from extracurricular arts institutions and fun programs for children. At the same time, children will be able to watch plays in educational institutions, and animators will also take part in the festivities ", said Silvia Canațui.

The actions and activities dedicated to the International Children's Day are organized by the Culture Department, in collaboration with the praetors and the General Directorate of Education, Youth and Sports. Expenses for the events will be borne by the educational institutions.

According to the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection, June 1 will be a working day.

International Children's Day is marked annually on June 1. The event is celebrated in accordance with the Declaration of the Rights of the Child, adopted by the UN General Assembly in 1959.
