Strategy of supply with water of north Moldova district updated with Germany's support

Chisinau, 25 May /MOLDPRES/ - The northern Briceni district’s authorities, at a meeting on 24 May, updated the social and economic strategy of the settlement, in terms of the water and sewerage supply sector (AAC).   

„The updated chapter concerning the AAC sector from the Briceni district’s social and economic strategy will ensure the basis for the subsequent identification of projects, planning, development and implementation of water and sewerage supply systems,’’ a head of section at the North Regional Development Agency (ADR Nord), Elena Verenciuc, said.      

The participants in the meeting of the working group discussed the action plan of the AAC chapter and suggested completions and adjustings to it. They also established the principal actions within the monitoring and assessing of the water supply chapter.

The updated strategic document is to be subjected to public hearings and afterwards approved by the Briceni district council.

The updating of the social and economic strategy of the Briceni district took place within the project, SMART Planning in the waters’ management sector. The project is implemented by ADR Nord through the Sustainable Development Goals Innovation Fund Moldova (SDG Innovation Fund Moldova), within the project, Support to Moldova’s Government for Implementation of Agenda 2030. The project is financed by Germany’s Federal Ministry of Economic Cooperation and Development and is implemented by the German Agency for International Cooperation.
