Moldovan PM, leadership of Siemens Energy company analyze aspects on energy security

Chisinau, 25 May /MOLDPRES/ - Prime Minister Natalia Gavrilita has met Chef Executive Officer of Siemens Energy Company Christian Bruch and the company’s manager Joe Kaeser, during the Davos Economic Forum. The sides discussed the vulnerability of the energy market in the present geopolitical context and analyzed possibilities of diversifying the energy supply sources, the government’s communication and protocol department has reported.
The prime minister stressed the importance of strategic investments in the energy sector and carrying out of projects due to help develop the electric energy market and improve the level Moldova’s energy security. In discussions, the interlocutors pointed out that the war in Ukraine emphasized the need to reduce the energy dependence on a single provider and to diversify the energy sources through the conclusion of new viable partnerships.
The German Siemens Group is one of the biggest and well-known world producers of equipment for the electric energy sector. The sixth part of the world production of electric energy is based on the technology of this company.
