Entrance to Zoo to be free for children on 1 June

Chisinau, May 26 / MOLDPRES /- Entrance to the Zoo for children up to the age of 16 will be free on 1 June, when International Children's Day is marked.

According to the capital's city hall, the working hours will be from 8:00 to 20:00. Thus, the local authorities will organize several groups of children to visit the Zoo.

Currently, new spaces and aviaries are being rebuilt and modernized at the Zoo. Access roads, green spaces, new gazebos and playgrounds are being repaired and arranged.

Currently, the zoo is home to over 1,000 animals and birds, over 138 species, of which 10 are endangered species.

In the last three years, Chisinau city hall has allocated over 20 million lei (about 1 million euros) from the municipal budget for the development and modernization of the Zoo. Only 10 million lei have been allocated for this year.
