Civil servants to be able to hold leadership office only till age of 65 in Moldova

Chisinau, 26 May /MOLDPRES/ - The MPs today approved a draft law, the goal of which is to enhance the productivity and competitiveness on the labour market.
The document provides for the extension, from three to six months, of the test period for all categories of employees, except for the unqualified workers, for the comprehensive verification of the employee’s professional aptitudes.
Also, the lawmakers propose to simplify the procedure of changing the working schedule, labour contract, the one on transfer to another unit, with the employee’s agreement.
Another provision of the draft regards the reduction, from one month to 14 days, of the minimal term for informing the employees about the change of the working schedule in shifts.
The draft also revises the procedure of re-establishment at the working place. Therefore, the employer will be able to decide the employee’s reestablishment at the working place or the payment of a dismissal compensation.
The new changes refer to the regulation of the way of scheduling of annual leaves and employees’ familiarization with their schedule.
In relation with the civil servants, the draft revises the procedure of their assessment. Thus, the MPs propose to evaluate the civil servants once in half a year. At the same time, the draft envisages that the civil servants will be able to hold leadership offices only till the age of 65 years.
