Cumulative rate of COVID vaccination reached 70% in Chisinau

Chisinau, May 30 / MOLDPRES /- In the capital, the cumulative COVID vaccination rate reached 70%. The announcement was made today at the operative meeting of the city hall services by the head of the General Directorate of Medical and Social Assistance of Chisinau, Boris Gîlca.

85 cases of Covid were registered in the capital last week. "For the first time, only two patients with COVID are hospitalized in municipal medical institutions. Today, the cumulative rate of anti-COVID vaccination (those vaccinated in Moldova and those vaccinated abroad) in Chisinau is about 70%. Only the capital has reached, for the moment, the indicator recommended by the World Health Organization for collective immunity ", said Gîlca.

According to statistics provided by the Ministry of Health, to date, 2,148,116 doses of vaccine have been administered in the Republic of Moldova.
